Rambling Readers System Status

Site became unresponsive at approximately 09:35 BST with a '502 Bad Gateway' message. The virtual server was restarted and all services became available again at around 09:55 BST.

The Rambling Readers website will be unavailable on 26 June 2023 from 15:00 BST (14:00 GMT) for about 1 hour to enable upgrades and system maintenance to take place.

Upgrade to the latest version of BookWyrm and system maintenance tasks successfully completed.

Issue opened on monitor failure.

Appears to have been a problem with recording of the job events. The database was up and available.

The Rambling Readers website will be unavailable on 6 April 2023 from 15:00 BST (14:00 GMT) for about 1 hour to enable upgrades and system maintenance to take place.

A false indication of server and database outage is currently showing on the status page. This appears to be due to a problem at cronitor.io reported on their status page. See: https://status.cronitor.io/. All Rambling Readers services are running.

The cronitor.io incident has now been resolved and Rambling Readers statuses are now showing correctly on the Status Page.

This issue has resulted in some missing data, including: a missing database backup job that did occur; inaccurate data on the performance of the database by reporting a much higher time to run the database query test than actually occurred.
